is the first suburban area upon entering Plett from the Port Elizabeth (North)
side of town and consists of two sections, Upper Poortjies and Lower Poortjies.

the Keurbooms River and Estuary, the Bay and the beautiful Tsitsikamma mountains
which surround the Bay. The Lower section is at sea level and borders the edge
of the Estuary. Approximately half the homes on the lower section have sea views.
This is a stunning area, with one's boat in the water, a beautiful river and sandy
beaches just a few steps away. Poortjies is very close to Lookout Beach and its
famous Whale Viewpoint and is also a stone's throw from the centre of town and
includes borders the new Market Square Shopping Centre with all its conveniences.
A desirable location, especially if you wish to enjoy the most incredible sunrises
over the Bay.
